Jorge Bastos da Silva

Jorge Bastos da Silva teaches in the Department of Anglo-American Studies, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto). His main fields of research are English Literature and Culture (namely the period between the Restoration and Romanticism), Intellectual History (especially Utopian Studies), and Translation and Reception Studies bearing in particular on the history of cultural exchanges between Portugal and the British Isles. He is the current President of the Portuguese Association for Anglo-American Studies (APEAA)
